The Crown will return to the streaming service on November 17, 2019.
The third season comes almost two full years after the second season premiered on the streaming giant. It will cover the years 1964-77, during the Swinging ’60s and into the ’70s, right up to the beginnings of Margaret Thatcher’s election as the prime minister in 1979.
Netflix has previously announced that season 4 is in the works and production is underway.

So does this season start with Olivia Coleman or does it change during the season?
It’s ridiculous we have to wait so long for these shows in between seasons for Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Starz, etc. Also, I believe their seasons should contain more episodes. They typically have between 8 -10, maybe 12 shows a season while network TV seasons are over 20 shows & they have only 3-4 months down. I can see no reason for not being more consistent.
I believe they are taking advantage of their fans!!!
