Will Nashville Season 5 be a one-and-done for CMT?
Not according to actor Chip Esten, who is hopeful that the recently revived country music drama will be renewed for Season 6, per Digital Spy:
“I’ve heard nothing about this being a season to wrap it up [after Season 5]. I don’t think that’s what they have in mind. I think a lot of it will play out with how it goes, and how it looks, and how it’s accepted. Again, in every single season of this show it came down to the end of the season to find if there was another one.
We were never picked up for more than one season at a time. We just have never been one of those shows. But we have been one of those shows where every season our fans are hanging on every single word of the networks and trying to figure out what’s happening.”
