My So-Called Life ran for a single 19-episode season before being cancelled by ABC due to low ratings, seemingly leaving fans hanging forever.
Now, in an interview with Vanity Fair, actress Bess Armstrong reveals what would have happened in My So Called Life Season 2, had the series not fallen foul of the Cancellation Reaper:
“[Creator] Winnie [Holzman] had told me that, because Graham was beginning that affair, I know I was going to go into a major depression. I know that she told me that the thing which was going to force Angela to become more of the adult in the household. I swear on a stack of Bibles, she did tell me this. And Angela was going to be forced to become more of the adult.
What was ultimately going to get Patty up and out of her depression was something terrible that was happening to Rickie,” Armstrong says. “Rickie was somehow going to be in trouble, and that was going to be what got her up and out of bed.”
