The Bafta award-winning drama Murder is set to return to BBC Two with three new films. Co-created by Robert Jones and Kath Mattock, and written by Robert Jones, the 3×60 series has been made by Touchpaper TV for BBC Two.
Continuing with the same innovative and unique format, with three new standalone films, Murder uses personal confessions to revisit the missing moments leading up to a death, in search of the truth.
Robert Jones and Kath Mattock spent months in the public galleries of the Old Bailey researching
real-life murder cases for inspiration and authenticity. Intercut with CCTV footage, live action and forensic evidence, the protagonists speak direct to camera giving their version of events. But where does the truth lie when the different versions don’t add up?Murder is produced by Kath Mattock and executive produced by Rob Pursey and Kath Mattock for Touchpaper, Matthew Read for the BBC and Robert Jones.
