I am sorry to hear this, it was a really good series that we looked forward to watching. Maybe if they had made it a Fall series they might have drawn the kind of audience they were looking for.
Unfortunately, most of the series we like get cancelled in favor of junk we would not waste our time on.

Agreed. They cancel so many good shows and keep BS on TV. CBS & ABC for example loves canceling good shows and keep sh*t like 33 seasons of Survivor & 20 of The Bachelor. Like we need more dumb reality shows!!

I couldn’t agree more, for the life of me I don’t understand their mentality for keeping the so called “reality” crap on for over 15-20 seasons and cancel the well thought out, written and acted shows like Murder in the First, A Gifted man, Limitless, & Person of Interest to name a few just on CBS. There are too many to list all the canceled that have been canceled on other channels as well. As well as way too many remaining long term horrible show to list… Mind boggling!

completely agree with you… the only shows that survive are ones with no plot, no good story lines or scripts…basically trash or rubbish ones… the good ones like Red Band Society gone and forgotten!!!

I so agree! I loved this series! They don’t advertise these shows and there are so many stopping and starting people need more reinforcement. This makes me sick.

I agree totally. This had characters with chemistry good, background character issues, and great acting. I guess if there were zombies, werewolves or witches as the charactors it would be on forever.

Another good show killed again!!!! Good shows never last I suppose due to the education, cultural and general knowledge level of audience!!!
That is why I now watch the Swedish/Danish/Norwegian, French TV shows!!! Like Den Som Draeber, Bron/Broen, Braquo, Spiral…etc…. and which all the US cable companies steal!!!!

I am very disappointed about the canceling of Murder in the First. I guess the TNT do not recognize a good show! I guess we will just watch Law &I Order reruns because TNT can’t do new shows with substance.

As usual, a good show is cancelled while our TV viewing is being replaced by reality garbage. How low the standards of the people who watch TV have gotten. No one wants to see good writing, interesting plots anymore, I guess. Sad state of affairs!!

I am so disappointed that the show won’t be returning – one of my very all time favorites. Next they will probably take of “Motive” – another excellent show. Too bad there wasn’t a net work that would just show murder mysteries – they are great.

I am very disappointed. I concur with everyone’s comments praising this show and the lack of
intelligence by those in power making these decisions. There is so much garbage on it is unbelievable. I guess they tend toward reality shows as they do not cost as much. There is a reason for that…they stink!

Finally a show that was interesting and intelligent. I liked we had to watch it till the end to find the killer. Whenever you get a good program like this, we all get disappointed. I hope another network picks it up. It is too good to be taken off, and all the actors were so real. I looked forward to this every week. I feel like Murder In the First was killed off, for no good reason at all.

They take jobs away from great actors and actress’ for fights among rich women who can’t control themselves. They have great shows, written well and move them to a different night, don’t get air time during specials so ratings go down and cancel them after people get hooked on them. Reality shows have gotten out of hand and I stopped watching them a long time ago. SAD, SAD,
    SAD

ITA with everyone! Murder was an excellent show with solid plots and great acting. Motive was indeed another. I was beginning to think of TNT as the new goto channel but once again they have let me down. Thank God for Netflix and they don’t have commercials!! But, we’d have watched Murder first thought. I wonder if it was the interracial love story that buried the show….

Please ,some channel pick it up. Someone who knows what quality TV is.
Everything Kathleen Robertson is in is good.
I am tired of watching a great show and then having it yanked away.

I disagree with all of you. We need to cancel well-done dramas and replace them with more mindless reality. I think America is dying to know about the day-to-day life of a septic tank pumping technician. (Networks: did you get my resume and request for an interview as a top programming executive?)

Another excellent show bites the dust. This was a good show that kept the politics and homosexuality to a minimum. That doomed them.
