The Missing Season 3 cancelled due to lack of ideas? Creators Harry and Jack Williams have reiterated their desire for a third season of the anthology series, but (perhaps to their credit) aren’t willing to cobble together anything and call it ‘Season 3’.
Speaking to DS, the duo maintain that a “very different” third season will only go ahead if they find a good idea:
“With the second one, we definitely didn’t want to do it in a cynical way,” Harry said. “It was only when we had that story to tell. We’d done the story about losing someone, now we’re doing a story about finding someone.
So [a third series] would have to be very different, and not cynical, and it’d have to be saying something new. Never say never – but we haven’t had the idea yet, to be honest.”
With the creators wanting a Season 3 but apparently having no definitive ideas for it, could The Missing go missing at the hands of the cancellation reaper, or will the series find itself renewed in the end?
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of The Missing Season 3…
