Marvel’s Inhumans is dead less than a season into its run on ABC, but the project showed signs of failure from — if not before — its IMAX launch, as suggested by IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond.
Speaking to Deadline, Gelfond blamed the show’s underpowered reception on a “misalignment of customer expectations”:
“Customers expected a production akin to a mega-budget blockbuster movie, rather than pilots for a television show. Moreover, the fact that this was Marvel IP set the bar at a level you wouldn’t see from other pieces of content or IP because of the reputation and the high production value of Marvel movies.”
Have you been disappointed with Inhumans? Hoping for an impossible Inhumans Season 2 revival elsewhere? Stay tuned as the show is ushered quietly into the cancellation graveyard…

Hate that this show will not be given a second chance!

This is a good show. The IMAX thing was just a stupid idea. Fire that person and keep the show.

This is a pandering, cliche, typical network show. It’s pretty lame overall. It should never have been green lit to begin with, unless the intended audience was pre-teen boys, because that what it appears to be written for.

personally I think the biggest issues with it have to do with the imax thing and the fact they put it in the same spot with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. before it had the chance to stand on its own. I honestly believe that this show as well as Agent Carter should have been placed in their own time slot and became established shows not filler that nobody wants to watch for an established show
