Mary McDonnell says the cancellation of Major Crimes after six seasons didn’t come as a surprise, having long given up on TNT’s handling on the show:
Firstly, we all move on to the next TOGETHER. Secondly, as many of you have stated, this was not a surprise. The writing was clearly on the wall. Trying to make sense of TNT’s choices is an activity that James Duff and Mike Robin and all of us have been engaged in for a long time. We tried as best we could, believe me. And we are extremely proud of the work and particularly proud of Season Six. You deserved a season with great depth and that is what you will be given. We will go thru it with you. I’ll talk more, if I may, tomorrow on #WWSRD but for now know that you are cherished always and all of us will continue to hold you dear as fans. Mary.”
Will you miss Major Crimes? Planning to boycott TNT? Planning to dance on the show’s grave?

Cannot believe this. One of the few consistently well-written, well-acted series on cable,

My family is shocked that TNT cancelled Major Crimes! This is our favorite show on tv, first as The Closer. We look forward to watching it every year. It has a great cast & great writers.
We don’t want TNT to cancel this show.
