Love Island returns with a new home on ITV2
ITV2 is set for a summer of romance this year as Love Island returns with a brand new look and makes its debut on the channel.
In the ultimate game of love, a set of stunning singles will jet off to the sun hoping for a summer of passion and romance. The glamorous members of the public will live like celebrities in a beautiful villa all under the watchful gaze of ITV2 viewers.
There’ll be plenty of fun and flirting but, to remain in paradise, the singles will have to win the hearts of the public. The audience at home will have the power to decide who stays and who goes, until one couple remains, scooping a huge cash prize. Can true love win out on Love Island or is it all a game?
ITV’s Director of Digital and Acquisitions Angela Jain said “The all new, revamped and reworked Love Island promises excitement, surprises and fun for ITV2 viewers.”
ITV Studios Creative Director Richard Cowles said “Our singles will live like celebrities but have to win the hearts of the public to survive. Will they pursue true love or are they just playing a game? The new look Love Island will decide.”
Love Island is made for ITV2 by ITV Studios. It was ordered by ITV’s Director of Digital and Acquisitions Angela Jain and commissioned by Kate Maddigan, Commissioning Editor, ITV Entertainment. It will be executive produced by Sarah Tyekiff and Tom Gould for ITV Studios.
