“He certainly hasn’t promised me further seasons, so I’d have to say that’s a possibility [that the show will not return],” Landgraf said Saturday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, before adding that he and C.K. “talk every week” about the potential of making more episodes.
When pressed about Louie‘s future during the Baskets TCA panel, C.K. said he “just [doesn’t] know” when he’ll be ready to produce more episodes, but he feels confident the show could continue for many years.
“It’s such an autobiographical thing that I can do a version of Louie when he’s 60, if anyone still gives a s—t,” he joked. “By the time I want to do it, I could call [FX] up and say, ‘I’m ready,’ and they could say, ‘Who is this?’”
