Expansion of ‘Flip or Flop’ and ‘Property Brothers’ Franchises Reinforce HGTV Prime Schedule in Q3 and Q4
NEW YORK – From now through year end, HGTV will premiere 314 prime-time hours on its programming slate, including new installments in the Flip or Flop and Property Brothers franchises. In addition, the network’s strong development strategy has generated 40 pilots and more than 75 concepts in incubation for the 2018 pipeline.
Flip or Flop Atlanta, starring Ken and Anita Corsini, is scheduled for a July premiere and Flip or Flop Fort Worth, starring Andy and Ashley Williams, is expected to premiere in November. In addition, Drew and Jonathan Scott will return in Property Brothers at Home: Drew’s Honeymoon House – the most important home renovation of the Brothers’ careers. The second half of the year also will feature new episodes of the hit series Fixer Upper (Chip and Joanna Gaines) and the original Flip or Flop (Tarek and Christina El Moussa). And, popular series Good Bones (Karen E Laine and Mina Starsiak) is currently in its second season run, while My Lottery Dream Home (David Bromstad) has accelerated post production on new episodes.
Tiny Paradise joins HGTV’s “tiny” lineup along with new seasons of Tiny House, Big Living and Tiny Luxury. The House Hunters franchise will add two new installments: House Hunters Family and House Hunters Outside the Box. The network also has increased production on new episodes of Beachfront Bargain Hunt, Beach Hunters, Island Life and Mexico Life.
“HGTV continues to deliver more than 66 million total viewers per month because home renovations, fantasy lifestyles and house flipping are universal, family-friendly topics that resonate with everyone,” said John Feld, senior vice president, original programming for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country. vicky says
I’m 49 & holding in a job I don’t like for the health insurance and pension. Since my second divorce, starting over again has not been the optimistic second chance @ happiness it was 20 years ago. Not to mention I don’t have shit to show for my nearly half century. I’m definitely no wealthier or wiser today. I’m certainly less trusting, naïve, or agreeable these days my I can say I’ve made many mistakes but it has been a hell of a ride. Thinking about taking off any where the mood strikes me, I’m in need of a custom off-grid tiny house on wheels for myself & eventually 4 dogs. My dream would be at least 398-425 sf including loft pull behind with outdoor spaces that fold out when parked including outdoor kennel space for the pack and built-in indoor features for my fur babies for under $50000.
Thanks so much for renewing these shows that continue to give a girl a chance to dream.
Sincerely
