It’s surely only a matter of time until ABC’s mega-hit LOST comes back around, but it’s a case of ‘whatever happened, happened,’ for Dominic Monaghan, who isn’t looking to revisit the series any time soon.
Speaking on EW Radio, the actor, who played Charlie Pace on the mystery drama, ruled himself out of any eventual revival, comparing the notion to baking the best cake ever:
“Talking about bringing [LOST] back, I don’t think any of the original cast would come back to it, I don’t know how they would.
People always ask me, ‘if they brought it back, would you do it?’ For me that always feels like a weird question, because if you do something to 100% of your ability and you have an amazing time doing it, why would you revisit that thing?
If you baked an amazing cake and all your friends ate it and they were like, ”that was the best cake we’ve ever had in our life, can you make it again right now?’ I’d be like ‘no, I did it, I loved it, I achieved my mission and I’m done.
So I love LOST, I love where it is in my life, I love the fact that people will always talk to me about it, but it’s done, it’s over, it’s on to the next one.”
Stay tuned as we monitor the Heart of the Island for that eventual LOST revival/reboot…
