For the past two weeks, Warner Bros. TV’s cable division has been putting together a detailed presentation highlighting the series’ performance and following as well as the producers’ creative plans for Season 4. The series will be pitched to digital and cable outlets in the coming days.
I hear Netflix and Amazon are expected to hear the pitch. Subscription-based services like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu would be perfect for a show like Longmire, which has a large but somewhat older-skewing audience.

Let’s just hope that someone listens and picks up this OUTSTANDING program. It has so much that is missing from everything else out there and none of the usual garbage.
PLEASE, find a home and give this show the respect it deserves by giving it regular season showing.
Thank you

One of the best shows on TV. Sure miss It I have been a fan from the begging !!! I HATE ALL THE CRAPPY RELLATY SHOWS !!! PLEASE BRING LONGMIRE BACK !!!
Donna says
We love Longmire! Please bring back season 4. We may be part of the “older-skewed audience” but we have a lot more disposable income than the target 18-49 demographic and we spend our money on things we see advertised on TV as well.
denise says
Please someone pick up Longmire, my husband and I are huge fans of the show. we miss it very much
Mary says
Please bring Longmire back to cable TV we love it instead of all the zombie crap!
Judy Nealis says
Another favorite show dropped because too many older people watch the show?
Unbelievable!
who spends more on advertised stuff. young folks jus charge.
Most of the great shows canceled still are watched in syndication.
The socalled reality shows are forgotten.
my children and grandchildren love this show too.
most watched and dropped? Ridiculous!
joe says
my wife and I just love the show so just keep it coming ok
Cari says
I’m so heartbroken that the show was canceled. Such a unique and rare quality show that needs to continue. Torn that today’s culture desires so much less from shows to be entertained and fulfilled. Please keep this show going somehow!
Terry says
Longmire was such a great show, it always seem to address some of the issues that exist in society. Maybe A & E only want to air low quality shows that only brain dead people want to watch. Please please please somebody pick up Longmire.

it’s funny how you seem to know so much while you actually know so little ! The OLDER Generation as you have stated are actually the ones who know quality when we see it and loyalties to the programs they consider to be of quality . the younger generation are not loyal so much and do not tend to follow television. Our grandchildren do not have cable or satelite TV because they play the games, are involved in softball , go to the movies and wouldn’t know a quality program if they had it explained to them !!!! I love them and they’re intelligent but they’re just not into Television. Football ? well they just check their phones for scores and to see how he game is going otherwise forget it. to bad you don’t have the same loyalty to your audiance that follows your better programs like WE DO !!!! When Longmire is gone so will we be gone . you didn’t think we would sit and wait for nother of your programs ……won’t happen .

I am very upset about Longmire being cancelled. This was the best show in a long time that was good,
Donna Huffman says
Oh my!??why??? The show that entertains some many people all ages. Don’t take it off for another reality show. Big mistake!
Larry Lanphere says
I hope cbs,nbc or abc picks it up ..To hell with them, let them have all the reality shows they want. This is a class show with excellent writers and cast I hope the best for them.
Cindy says
I do not follow many shows, but I love Longmire for the strength of its lead characters, and it’s great story lines. There is a shortage of strong male characters whom still live by a code of integrity in TV, and it was refreshing to see it once more in this show. I absolutely love Lou Diamond Phillips who was another reason I started watching and kept on watching Longmire. Please someone pick this show up. I can’t imagine why, netflix or amazon could not find room for this quality show.
Cliff says
My wife and I loved this series too. Let’s all blog every chance we get and see if we can’t help bring back Longmire. Bring it back, bring it back, bring it back….
JOYCE says
Longmire is different and real and good. Please save this quality show.
Jeanette Vancleave says
This is the only program that takes me back to the old westerns I use to watch as a child with my Dad. Even the Movies were similar. I sure hope that someone picks it up real soon, so I have that to look forward to.

I really wonder about the leadership of A&E. First they take on Duck Dynasty… well that didn’t work so well did it? Now their second highest rated show is being cancelled? Great let them put on another “reality show” Longmire was the only show I watched regularly. Luckily have found the first two seasons on DVD and have recorded season 3. Instead of cancelling Longmire maybe they should cancel their head of programming!
Eric Stangeland says
I don’t watch much TV and for good reason. Seems ironic…I got really sick and stayed home for the first time in seems like forever. Found Longmire on Netflix and started watching episodes one after another. As so many have said already this show stands out and is heads above all the other garbage on TV. Many people connect with this show and I know I do too. I was searching to see where I could find the show to watch new season and was very disappointed to find that A&E cancelled!!! I would imagine an older viewer would find this a more desireable program to watch but I believe with the right advertising this could be a major attraction to a diverse audience on a major network. Please give the viewers and the great work put into this show a future. To the A&E decision makers – recommend you make this work for the viewers otherwise the consequences of loss of trust will be felt strongly.
Ginger says
So A&E dropped it because the audience was to “old” and they want something that will appeal to a younger demographic. Well maybe all of us “old” people will start boycotting all of the sponsors on A&E….
Gary says
Why don’t they simply clean up some of the language and put it on their own CW network?
Star Trek: The Next Generation was never a network show – it was syndicated and was a great success. Local stations ate it up because it provided them with excellent programming and all the ad revenue was theirs.
This is really a dumb move by A&E. Unless they know they have something that will pull in higher ratings and more revenue, why on earth would you cancel the series. I ran into this when working in a large corporate environment: We are going to stop doing X because we are only getting Y return on investment. When I asked, “Oh, what do you have lined up that will for sure generate more than Y ROI?” I usually got silence, but that did not matter because they were not getting the ROI they wanted. So, they went to not getting even Y and lowered revenue because of it. A&E has tons of low-rent programs that could have canceled to bring up the next best thing to make sure it works, but that makes too much sense.
It reminds me when CBS bouth the Country Music Television channel for expansion, then immediately began cancelling all of its programming for being “too country.” The Dilbert cartoon is not too far off about large corporations most days.
Carolyn Smith says
I will subscribe to any network that picks up Longmire. I am already missing this show and I can’t believe I’ll never learn how last season’s cliffhanger is resolved. Please, please, please some VP of programming pick up Longmire.
Mom T says
Ditto to the comment. Such a tragedy to let an awesome show go such as this.
Monica says
This is my brother’s and my favorite show…. It is so good. Somebody needs to pick it up and keep it going.
Please and thank you
Joe F says
Over the years too many good TV Shows have been canceled after only a few seasons. But yet the Game Shows, Talk Shows, Soap Operas & Reality Shows are still on! I myself Don’t watch any of those!! I like Action & Drama Packed Shows, like “Longmire, CSI, NCIS, Hawaii Five-o, Blue Bloods & any other Crime Dramas I missed! So somebody needs to pick up Longmire and keep it going!! A&E can keep their Reality TV Shows!!!!!!!!
Joyce Farrar says
Was heart broken when I learned that Longmire was cancelled. Some other network needs to pick it up so we learn what happened at the end of the third year. Need to find out the outcome of the cliff hanger.
Dick Duffy says
A&E not unlike current government…they seem to think they know what is better for you. The current crop of program directors grew up with video games and big gulps . They have no concept of quality and lack any taste. They are the same people that had to take classes to teach them which fork and/or knife to use when dining with real people. I would and will follow Walt Longmire anywhere.
Lana Wilhite says
Where do we go on the web or otherwise to get these networks to listen that we want this series picked up?
