Katee Sackhoff has hinted that the Vic/Walt relationship will grow tighter in Longmire Season 4 – should the series be renewed by A&E (the network has yet to cancel or renew the series for another season).

“It’s that ‘Moonlighting’ thing, in the sense that people are expecting it and you hold it back and hold it back — and when it finally happens, you have to come up with different stakes, because you’ve already played your hand creatively. It’s not even a question of ‘if,’ because it’s in the ‘Longmire’ books (by Craig Johnson), but it’s more ‘when’ and ‘how’ and if it’s going to work.”
BETSY says
PLEASE DON’T. IT WILL RUIN THE SHOW.
will good says
agree. she is just not that likable in the tv show. the books may be different but for the series it would ruin it for me. they need to make her character more likable and empathetic or find him someone else.
Cheryl says
I agree with Betsy. If the writers have Walt cross that line, I will quit watching the show, in spite of liking most of the characters, even the bad guys, but not Vick. She wasn’t so bad the first 2 seasons but can’t stand her now.
Shep Sparks says
Favorite drama of all tim and Vic is best part of the show. Seems most feel this way.
carol kelly says
My husband and I just finished the series on Netflix. I find the character of Vic annoying. She asks too many personal questions of her boss, and she is very nosy and manly.
Longmire is a very strong, fatherly, and protective, character.. I see him with the Psychiatrist.
Please do not have a romance with Vic. Also, they work together.
You need an episode where he puts her in her place.
ArtVandelay says
I agree. Do not like Vic character…at least on the show. Have never read the books.
suzyku says
Totally disagree as long it’s done “smart”! I’m so sick of these shows not knowing how to handle relationships, they “will they, won’t they” for too long, then they get them together and then they break them up! Same old, same old!
Amber says
I agree lets see them get to together if it is done right. Walt deserves someone on his side and Vic is always there. Bring them together please.
Peggy says
I love Vic and the idea of her and Walt together. The sexual tension between them makes the show!
Mike says
I am just in the early episodes of season 3. I see where the Walt and Vic relationship is going. And if they do “hook-up” it will totally ruin the show….to which I will stop watching. The show is plenty good enough without that unnecessary drama. Also, it would be WAY out of the Walt Longmire character that the show has been creating. NO WAY would Walt have an non-professional relationship with his deputy and would NEVER have a romantic relationship with a married woman. It will be the death of the show…at least for me.
Elizabeth says
I totally agree! Those two do not fit AT ALL in a romantic relationship. I’m afraid they’re going to go that way and I think it’ll be a huge mistake.
will good says
oh and it may be a small town but her character should still dress professional. Button her shirt up and quit poking her chest out. one of the things that does not draw an audience to her
Elizabeth says
Yes, I’m glad to see one person mention that! What’s with the “sticking her chest out”? I’ve had a really hard time warming up to her at all. And she doesn’t seem like a Walt type AT ALL. She’s bossy, pushy and masculine.
Ewaro says
EEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!
Walt and Vic together? Disgusting.
Elizabeth says
Agreed!
J Williams says
I would hate for us to never know if it was Branch or his dad that took the bullet. As far as Vic and Longmire having some kind of romance? It might work, if they play their cards right.
suzyku says
Agree with you!
Liane Willey says
Every character is fluffy w great depth and wonderfully talented actors playing their roles to the hilt. Katee plays Vic as perfectly as can be- I think it’s cool to see a chick play a tough line while the male lead plays more genteel! Everything about this show is spot on. Please don’t cancel!!
Lizjane says
It is silly comments like these that will get the series cancelled. Try reading the books! Agree with J Williams.
Gwuen says
Vic and Walt get together by book three. Those who don’t like Vic should know they have dialed her down to 5 on the show compared to the 11 she is in the books. Seriously. Katie does a fantastic job. I know tough women are still not a favorite trope but those who dislike her on the show would really loathe her if she were true to the books.
Beatrice DeRusha says
I think Vic is beautiful and her acting is fantastic. Go girl.
Sharon Brown says
I love the show and watch it faithfully. Please don’t cancel. Vick and Walt I think make a great couple and Branch need to make up with Walt’s daughter, she is awesome.
Pat Buzzee says
Don’t cancel this show. one of the best on television. Not many good shows left. Mostly reality crap that I can’t stand.
Livi says
Longmire should be filmed in WYOMING! I live in the shadow of the Winds (mountain range on south side of Abserocas) & it’s MUCH more interesting territory than what’s on the show.
Mike says
Hey everyone. Vic is married! How can you support Walt and Vic hooking up?
Sarah says
She signs divorce papers at end of season 3.
Joanie says
Come on! Its so stuck up. Let’s have some fantasy, some real world around that show. They love each other it’s obvious. Why not? Why in the world it makes you so uncomfortable? If they where about to write the show on everyone behalf it would be so boring. Make Walt and Vic have a romance for god sake and stop teasing!
Bruce says
Well, then WHY did the writers throw Ally Walker into the mix? Did you notice how indifferent Walt seems to be toward Vic in season 4? How Walt can’t see Vic’s devotion toward him and keeps gravitating toward the wrinkled blondes?
Walt might be Wyoming’s answer to Sherlock Holmes, but he can’t see the forest for the trees when it comes to women. Maybe he’s afraid Vic’s too young for him, or he’s too old to keep up with her……but Ally Walker? Sheeeeesh!
Only Victoria Moretti can keep Walt young. If they axe Katee Sackhoff, then I’m axing LONGMIRE.
Sir Fucks-a-Lot says
I would absolutely love for vic and longmire to get together
Jake says
I vote Vic and Walt get together. And don’t cancel the series. It’s the only series I watch that’s worth my time because it is so amazing.
Bruce says
Katee Sackhoff was WRONG! For some STRANGE reason, the writers of this fabulous show have placed a very big distance between Vic and Walt in season 4 thanks to Walt’s deliberate COOLNESS toward Vic and his blind rush to fill the void left by Martha with aging ladies who apply lipstick over their lip lines and have no sex appeal. Ally Walker? Yeccch! A nice lady but not deserving of being Vic’s replacement.
WHY the writers do this, I have no idea! Walt is BLIND to Vic’s love and devotion toward him and keeps chasing the wrinkled blondes. If that’s the way the writers want it, and they shut down a natural relationship between Vic and Walt, then I’m DONE with the TV Longmire and will stick to the BOOK Longmire, where Vic and Walt have a physical relationship and there are no aging ladies that seem to distract Walt.
Vicky says
Agree…ugh. Part of the appeal of the story is Walt and Vic getting together. Not what’s expected…Walt getting together with the “sensible” choices (women his age). Walt is suppose to be a badass & should be with another badass. Not a VA psychiatrist.
Vicky says
Season 4 was totally different than the first 3. I started losing interest in it. Walt and Vic’s chemistry is gone which was appealing to me and had kept me interested in the show. I felt like it gave the show some depth…not just these crazy murders. I couldn’t wait until the next episode. Walt’s two love interests in the show weren’t “right” for him. Walt is a total bad ass who cares for people. He doesn’t need an old lady at home cooking his meals, washing his clothes, etc. His life has changed since his wife died. Let’s not have him playing house with a psychiatrist who will help him with his “feelings”… I totally hated it. If the writers want Walt to date an old lady, have him start up a love relationship with Ruby. At least she is a likable character. The new deputy is boring. Not appealing at all. Henry still working at the bar after signing the deed away…dumb. It’s awkward and totally unrealistic. Henry is supposed to be a badass also so that story line is just stupid. The writers need to be creative with the Walt and Vic relationship. It should happen…maybe a little at a time but quit with bringing in the old lady love interest…no one wants to watch it. It’s like watching your parents make out…uncomfortable.
Govictoria says
Sackoff’s portrayal of a misunderstood strong alpha female in touch with her sexuality but not her vulnerability is so realistic its uncanny! She has daddy-issues: I love when Vic laments her childhood nickname “little terror” to Walt who gives her the affirmation, trust and respects she never had as a child. Also, “so I have to pretend to be weaker than I am for us to get along!” she mistakenly reveals to her soon to be ex showing that she needs a secure, strong man in her life. But her and Walt hook up? Sure, but what then? Walt wants a mature woman too to tame him. He could never find any better than Vic- totally loyal, noble and brutally honest. But he doesn’t want to play daddy in a relationship. She is like a daughter to him, not a lover IMO.
ArtVandelay says
Never read the books but Walt and Vic on the show don’t have chemistry IMO.
cruiser1500 says
Yes, definitely Vic and Walt should get together, the chemistry is there, they respect each other, work well together, hell they think alike. Give them a couple of well written scripts to sew it all together and let them be together, they deserve it, the show deserves it. Age doesn’t matter, there are plenty of couples with 5, 10, 15 years difference in their ages that are soul mates. If the series ends give us all a happy ending and let Vic and Walt find each other, and marry or live together. Go for it…….
Marblex says
no no no no. She is irritating, scheming, uncommitted, unlikeable and she has no clue who Walt is. She is superficial and grating, he is spiritual and quiet. A match made in HELL and it would destroy the show.
Elizabeth says
I agree. I’ve gradually warmed to her character but never could I see a romantic thing between her and Walt. She may be in love (or infatuated with) Walt, but she’s so not Walt’s type. Her character on the show is pushy, bossy and masculine. Walt falling in love with that? No frigging way. Please don’t ruin the show by trying that. Seriously. No way.
