TVLine has learned exclusively that the studio is developing The Jetsons, a live-action sitcom remake of Hanna-Barbera’s beloved ’60s animated series about a family residing in the futuristic, outer-space utopia known as Orbit City.
A Warner Bros. spokesperson declined to comment, but sources confirm that the studio — which has hired Family Guy EP Gary Ganetti to shepherd the potential series — will begin shopping the multi-cam project around to broadcast and cable networks in the coming weeks.

The Jetsons spanned 75 episodes across three seasons on ABC (1962–1963) and syndication (1985–1987), along with several movies.
Would you watch a Jetsons revival series? Should the series be left to rest?
George Lewis says
THE JETSONS sounds great!

Not sure how they will pull it off. Things like the flying cars, height changing apartment buildings (for weather changes) and other things that made the cartoon different from other family environ sitcoms. These things mean using CGI and that is expensive, and to leave these things out would make the show less “Jetson style”. I love the concept of Live action Jetsons, but a TV show is hard to pull off with so much CGI needed.
