Is there a scorecard for this show?
Bre says
The show was boring to me. IMO.
KiKiMeeks says
Step it up didn’t have what it takes. Don’t know what traci was trying to convey to the audience. don’t think it was ever about her team. its all about Her big Ego. her big shoe collection. and how embarrassing it was that she was on Instagram and twitter begging to get a shoe endorsement from the guy that make those shoes… I wish the dancers much success. but this show was boring as hell!
Pat says
I enjoyed the show and how she helped the girls to better themselves it was more about making them dig. Deep and do their best she was showing them what it was like in the real world of dance we love Traci and what th3 shiw conveyed so renew it and
Pamels says
Traci is in a league all of her own.
Bre says
She was boring, her team was boring like robots; too cocky. Traci is not an appealing person and not comfortable with how she looks that’s why she’s soo outlandish. I know because that’s how I was. Too me she was too irritating and that team was too.
Vette says
The show had no real debth. She is barbaric with a bat and an attitude. Where Mz. D is loving in her aggressive motivational tactics. The show should be canceled and Traci go back to the drawing board where she could use some etiquette training herself. And lose the colored hair.
Liz says
I understand people have the right to their own opinions, I normally don’t leave comments or debate with others in regards to their opinions; but I had to leave one due to the negative comments regarding to STEP IT UP. This show is great! It deserves a second season. If anyone knows anything about hard work you can and will appreciate the show. Traci is preparing those kids for the next level; what it takes to make it in the REAL WORLD, especially being dancers. I used to watch Bring it, in reality, those kid don’t have the technique Traci dancers have that the reason why they lose every time they compete against her. I like Traci’s method and style of teaching she didn’t get to where she is with a passive attitude! People, if you compare the two shows (which people are) you can see the different styles of teaching I believe Ms Traci is trying to give her dancers some opportunities in the real world verses Ms Dianna ( meaning when they graduate dancing or Modeling job could be waiting) . #bringtheshowback
NotMyNameEither says
Dear Traci, you can’t expect us to fall for your comment just because you disguised yourself with this “Liz” name.
Traci says
Absolutely! @Notmynameeither
That comment had Traci written ALL over it!! That’s her only comeback for why she’s nasty, insecure, and minimize her dancers… She’s preparing them for the “real” world, maybe as one of Manson’s girls! Child boo! Traci, you and the bat #Cancelled
Eta boo says
Why is Diana being brought into this? U watch the show for an hour a week, u don’t know Diana personally or what she does to motivate her girls. Actually that should come from their parents. That’s part of the problem now with this dance coaches. Everything is such a rivalry, that it turns into dislike. For some reason all theses coaches have an issue with Diana and I have to wonder why. Isn’t it suppose to be a bout the kids dancing and competing? Tracy and the other coaches take it to a whole other level. The fact that this is being done in front of the children. The adults need to conduct themselves better and stop being enemies it makes the kids enemies. When Tracy brought her girls to the dollhouse one of her dancers who is a child was very disrespectful to Diana. Had that been my child Tracy would have got torn a new one and I would have pulled my child from the team. Tracy has an ugly personality.bits ok to be confident and cocky to a point. She does too much. Diana must be doing something right. She had her show first. It keeps getting renewed. It’s ok for u to be team Tracy, she is a good coach and so is her team. But don’t stoop to the belittling thing. Be glad that two string African American women have their own shows. I personally don’t like traci show, but I wish her much success.
BC says
Tracy needs to stop with the supablack everything. We can all see she is black. How I see it is she does the outlandish hair and clothes and always talking supablack because IMO she is uncomfortable with her looks. She constantly has to do BIG to say “look at me”. She was supairritating. Boring. Nice lady but not entertaining enough.
Angela says
This show was such a disappointment. My older sister and I were so excited and looking forward to this show (being huge Bring It! fans and all) but Traci’s over compensating personality was IMPOSSIBLE to watch or take seriously. In sum, it’s like “Dancers, I get it. You’re scared of Traci.” and “Traci, I get it. You want it to be all about you you you.” Unfortunately, your personality is impossible to watch.
faith says
When step it up first came on me and my kids was excited but then I seen how rude and ignorant she was with those kids. I was nope I turned the channel and never looked back I didn’t understand why she carried that bat yelling at the kids when they was just trying out
Carter says
I don’t think Traci’s attitude was any worse than Dianne’s attitude. Dianna uses profanity all the time and she is a sore loser!
Traci dancers have great technique and they were fun to watch.
I think they deserve another season.
LaVerne says
AGREED!!!!!
Tiffy says
I loved the show! I hope it gets another season. Traci was awesome and her kids showed far better technique than many other dancers I’ve seen on tv.
Chris says
I really hope that most of you who are leaving negative comments, can actually dance. I’m not sure if most of you are DD4L fans or if you guys are just haters, but I really wish that you guys would learn to humble yourselves. I’m a dancer, and I love the Dancing Dolls, when Traci was first introduced to the show, she did hit a nerve, but she is an amazing dancer, instructor, and choreographer. Most dancers have big personalities. Deal with it! Her show, was really good, and the one thing I will give credit to is that she didn’t make it about the competition with the dancing dolls, and actually showed the intensity of dancing! I loved it! she was amazing!
#justacriticdonthateme says
I will agree that the show certainly showcased the dancer’s techniques, they are excellent dancers! I’m not a dancer, I just have mad love for the arts and a critic like most people. Anyway, Traci (I think) is a good teacher, but I did find her very scornful, mean (at times) & condescending! Now who knows with the editing that they do on television what her “real” personality and qualities are as an instructor and the love she displays with her dancers. I only watched a couple of episodes and with so— many reality shows available I couldn’t seem to follow her story line with enough interest to tune in each week… I was somewhat bored!! I however do like Traci’s style she has her own individual flare. I will also like to say I don’t usually post comments about shows, but I’m always cheering for African American shows reality or orhewise to succeed and with my busy schedule I record my favorites to watch at my leisure. Whether I tune in or not, I wish the show success! Also I wanted to add that there is a lot of comparison to the “Bring It” show but I don’t see the similarities in the way Traci’s dance company and the Bring It team (dancers) they all have their unique talents which is what I think Traci was trying to emphasize, but it’s also why I wasn’t as interested. I like the DDP’s, the bucking, and Dianna. I can relate to the whole “hover Mom” and the dysfunctional family angle of the show etc. AnyTway…. Good luck to the cast of Step it Up! There are some really talented dancers on the show!!!!!
Embra says
In your opinion lol. Tracy is weird AF. Now she has shaved her head bald. Again saying “look at me, look at me”. Guess she has to do something. Not attractive at all. Might have a chance if she would stop with all the “clown” clothes. I actually liked her natural hair. But what did we get…chucko the clown. Her poor husband lol
Pamela says
WOW…smh is all I can say to all the negative comments left in regards to Traci and her show Step It Up. It appears to be plenty of immature, negative, self haters that have gotten use to the usual stereotypical reality show typecasting given to black women. It’s sad that a show, showcasing talent and technique in a tasteful way is considered boring; however I’m sure if the show featured a bunch of weave and wig slinging butt and boob enhanced women who constantly fussed, cussed, fought, and twirked there’s no doubt Season 2 would have been debuted by now. I suggest some of you go watch the documentaries “Dark Girls” or “Hidden Colors” and come again.

step it up was a great great show and i hope and pray life u bring it back traci was great and i love the way she show the kids life not easy and made them work hard those kids go a long way bring her back if abby can come back traci should come back i love both shows
Kia says
Yes I agree…If there is room for Abby Lee Miller, there should be room for Traci. I’m a huge fan of Bring It. I thought Traci was too much but her team has talent. She’s a talented dancer and teacher and as a fan she did make the dancing dolls better during competition. Honestly that’s what we should do as a people motivate one another to be better and that’s what Traci did. I wish the show would come back. I will add that Traci could have done both compete and have her team audition for for various career opportunities.
Female Combat Vet says
This show deserves another season. It shows the diversity in dance, and teaching style. Its not about the parents trying to get their shine, and 15 minutes of fame. People were looking for another “bring It” style show. This was far from it. These kids were levels above any on bring it or any other dance show. They were more professional. You can argue that “bring it” is a better show because of the drama. But you can not argue that Tracy’s kids are head and shoulders above the rest. You might not like Tracy, or her antics, but she is a hell of a dancer, and instructor. Those kids are on point. She provides them with training and life factors during, and after they leave her. She’s not just trying to win competitions. And that you can not take away.
