ABOUT DIG
The action thriller “DIG” tells the story of a murder mystery set against the backdrop of modern day Jerusalem, a city shrouded in ancient intrigue. FBI agent Peter Connelly (Golden Globe nominee Jason Isaacs, “Awake”) has had his fair share of heartbreak. Anxious to leave his personal demons behind, Peter takes a job stationed in Israel under the guidance of his new boss, and occasional lover, Lynn Monahan (Emmy Award winner Anne Heche, “Save Me”). When he sets out to solve the murder of a young American, Peter soon finds himself embroiled in an international mystery that delves into the Holy Land’s darkest secrets. What he discovers is a conspiracy thousands of years in the making that threatens to change the course of history. While Peter races to figure out what it all means, he quickly finds that he may not be the only one searching for answers. [USA]

Of course there has to be a season 2 of DIG. Intelligent television is so rare these days.
Most viewers want instant gratification: everything solved within the hour but there are viewers out there who savor the pace of a good story telling and enjoy the brilliant acting along the way. Enjoying the build-up into a cataclysmic climax.
USA you have a winner in Jason Isaacs in a role he was born to play. Please don’t let him get away!

I wouldn’t agree that it is “intelligent television” in any way. More like trashy propaganda with poor quality acting. Could have been good, but unfortunately has already failed in every way to impress anyone with a grain of actual, real, non-fabricbricated intelligence.
Doug Cook says
I like what Char said, Sera not so much. Dig, was a great and intense show, that I looked forward to every week. The heads of TV stations do not know what good TV is.
Judi Anderson says
Doug, I couldn’t agree with you more. What I am getting tired of is these Networks starting a show, giving it one season and then cancelling. I am tired of investing time into something that the networks are going to cancel. Why bother? So I usually wait until it comes on “on demand” and then will watch. Perhaps the networks need to rethink their approach and that perhaps the reason their ratings are down is because there are millions that feel the same as I do… why invest time when they are more than likely going to cancel? My suggestion to the networks is to give it at least 2 seasons before making a decision. Give a show a chance as I have found that by season 2 in any show is when things really get going. Please do NOT cancel DIG. There is a lot of potential in that show for sure! KEEP IT ON USA!

Dig is definitely one show that should be renewed. It is action for the thinking person. In addition to the exceptional Jason isaacs, the rest of the cast is also very strong. ‘ve long been a fan of Lauren Ambrose and now David Costabile is proving to be very watchable, (in a very creepy way).

Most definitely want a season 2 of DIG. This series has me talking/speculating with friends, and I’m eager to see each new episode. And . . . I want to see Jason Isaacs on my TV every week!
Ellen says
I have been SO enjoying DIG and the magnificent story arc Gideon and Tim have created, as well as enjoying once again having the brilliant Jason Isaacs and an immensely talented cast and crew in my home. It was once said if you like an actor, you will go to a theater to see them, but it’s very different when you are happy and willing to invite them into your home weekly. Enjoying this series very much, please renew. We’re entitled to intelligent television, it raises the bar.

Funniest thing I’ve read on the Internet yet, and I’ve been all over the “Lost Girls” Forums like a rash!!!!! 😆 😆 🙂 🙂

If you don’t like it then don’t watch and don’t insult the people commenting here. Go elsewhere.

DIG is my favorite new show of the year! I hope there is a second and third season!
A. says
What a crazy story this is; it’s both jaw dropping and mind blowing, all at once. I’m still trying to piece together the puzzle, to discover the bits of history the creators wove into their story, and can only imagine the brilliance that would come out of these storytellers in a completely new tale, in another season of DIG. In addition to brilliant story writing, they’ve signed on powerfully talented actors to put their words into vivid, spellbinding action, every single episode. I love watching them, each episode, develop their character’s arc–each show has taught me more about each character, as a person.
This is classic Storytelling 101.
But what I most love about this is the story arc–I love that television viewers are getting a complete, whole story to enjoy–no seasonal cliff hangers. This is like a visual novel, and I love that.
Please do another season of DIG. (Please?)

DIG is simply just plain boring. Sorry to say it, but it is not even a little bit watchable. Plus it has caused so much controversy that to proceed with it now is just plain belligerent.
Danny says
You troll.
Marie V. says
Seriously – we need another season. This is one of the few smart and interesting shows on TV! Great story telling and wonderful acting!
Sera Nowitzki says
We need another season like we need an atomic bomb over this country. *Sigh* *SMH*

Please renew Dig for a Season 2. Rare to find an intelligent, thrilling TV series, that keeps you coming back each week..Jason Isaacs leads a strong cast, and writing is brilliant! Location filming is excellent, enhancing the story.
Sera Nowitzki says
Oh dear goodness, another denier. Whatever will we do with you lot?! 😉
Kate P says
“DIG” is so intelligently written and characters are brilliantly portrayed with Jason Isaacs, who is the best, leading this incredible cast. It is a thought provoking series leaving you wanting and coming back for more !! Please don’t cancel this series, a program that brings a story that is both history and entertainment!!
THO says
I hope it will be renewed. Sad to think it’s only 7 episodes left, and after Thursday, it will be 6. I like the build up so far, getting more and more drawn into the different story lines, and more and more engaged on the characters. Waiting to find out what happens but I don’t want it to end. I’d love a new series.
Sera Nowitzki says
It will NOT be renewed, sorry to dash your hopes!!!
Emily Martin says
Cancel, cancel, cancel. The whole thing is a shambles. Hurry up and cancel very fast, please! Inappropriate comment removed – Ed.
Sera Nowitzki says
I completely agree, Emily!!!!
bobbyb says
I don’t understand. Why would you watch and then go to a site about a program to bash it? Just change the chanel.
Sera Nowitzki says
As an Israeli, I find the show VERY offensive and feel it needs to be IMMEDIATELY suspended from the television, cancelled and a written apology to ALL Israeli Citizens. *Dusts off Hands*.Inappropriate comment removed – Ed.
Luna says
From what part of Israel are you?
Hakuna says
This is BDS in disguise.
Sera Nowitzki says
I am from Tel Aviv, thanks for asking, Luna!
Have a great day.

Danny says
Offence. That’s what many Jews at good at taking. It seems all they can do about everything is taking offence. Not very bright but indeed very effective to walk out of every conversation or justify any sort of violence. Mind you, I’m a Jew myself but I can’t turn a blind eye on that.

Renew Dig of course, Mistery series are compulsive, really. But the new season also should be a closed series, with beggining, middle and end.
Marie V. says
Milly – I agree with you! I love the closed format. A beggining , middle and end is so much more satisfying than the endless repeating plot lines on TV now. It gives an opportunity to explore various regions of the globe as well as other conflicts and issues.
Emmanuel and Roland says
We are eagerly awaiting to discover all secrets in Dig. And after to get another series.
Shifra says
Ooa, a lot of anti semitism here for fictional show made initially in my home city. This is very sad to me. The story is unfamiliar to me, but the language fits into my ears well and I know well the antagonism between Israeli and Arab and what goes on upon the Temple Mount. Peace is what we all long for. I think this show is wonderful and would like very much to see another series where not so much hate would be caused from the media (and fans of the stars too). The characters are wonderful and I know those that have been in Israel and would love to see them return in future DIG series. Thank you.
Nini says
Yeah, Dig is really great. It’s difficult to wait for the next episode. Waiting for the big shock in ep6 as Jason Isaacs said! Good cast, didn’t know the majority of the actors before, apart from Jason, who is ever so convincing in everything he does. Would be really awesome to have another series, knowing other countries history and misteries! And after that another series! But please find places where you can film more quickly, because Jason has to do films too, in between Digs.
Pity about the political problems, production should have been more careful to avoid them, really. But the situation is so complicated that anything you do in Jerusalem is bound to be controversial.
Peaceful compromises are most needed in that region!
Mary Elaine Hagedorn says
Please save DIG. This show is hypnotic. Truly hard to stop watching.
Alan Baker says
Bring “Dig” back. We loved it!
Richard says
It appears Sera Nowitzki may have been close to landing a role on the show and got cut in the last round of auditions. There is something else going on here or she would have simply changed the channel. ‘sarah’ why dont you share your pain with us us and perhaps we will forgive you.
Sandi says
The show was very entertaining and suspenseful. We enjoyed it. However, there was no reason to renew it because the producers tied up all the loose ends. To give Peter a new FBI case would have been anti-climactic.
maggie bowers says
When you can’t discuss something intelligently, fall back on obscenities. Makes you feel more powerful. This must be Sara Norwitzki’s positions considering how many of her post have been deleted as being inappropriate. Enjoyed the show but not sure where it would have gone from the end of season one. Hopefully we would have gotten more info on what the young messiah would have done.
jimbo says
I think much of the appeal of the show was from American evangelical Christians, as they engage with stories from the Holy Land, real or fiction. But when the producers pandered to the homosexual lobby and gave the Israeli cop a male lover, the sound of American TVs being turned off was deafening. They always have to go these, don’t they???
Timothy says
DIG was a favorite last season! I love Israel and am a huge Joel Rosenberg fan. The Cinematography was breathtaking itself. The story line is something that few people in the states probably think about and it came across to me as interesting with some mystique that kept me intrigued. Religion, Israel, prophesy mixed with fact and/or mysticism makes for an interesting plot. Definitely look forward to a season 2.
