Is There Aquarius Season 2? Has Aquarius Been Cancelled By NBC?
WILL THERE BE AQUARIUS SEASON 2?
UPDATE: On June 25, 2015, NBC renewed Aquarius for Season 2, to premiere June 16, 2016.
—
NBC has released the entire “series” of Aquarius online following its linear premiere. While this could be viewed as either progressive or an elaborate burn-off enroute to cancellation, the use of “series” instead of “season” to describe the release suggests NBC doesn’t hold much hope of Aquarius being continued. Of course, should Aquarius deliver decent enough ratings (linear or digital), NBC will likely renew.
Stay tuned to RenewCancelTV to be the first to know whether the serial-killer drama slays the ratings to convince NBC of its future worth.
Breaking updates will appear here as soon as NBC officially cancels or renews Aquarius.

ABOUT AQUARIUS
It’s 1967 – an era of free love, drug experimentation and Vietnam is in full effect. When Emma (Emma Dumont, “Salvation”), the teenage daughter of a respected lawyer, goes missing, LAPD Sgt. Sam Hodiak (David Duchovny, “Californication,” “The X-Files”) starts asking around. He soon discovers that the hippie kids he’s questioning don’t take kindly to COPS, especially a cop with hair as short as his.
Needing the help of someone to trust, he partners with young undercover cop Brian Shafe (Grey Damon, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” “Friday Night Lights”), a law-abiding officer who struggles with his own demons. He also begins to rely on Charmain Tully (Claire Holt, “Vampire Diaries,” “Pretty Little Liars”), an ambitious rookie cop who’s anxious to prove herself in a male-dominated profession.
It’s not long before they stumble upon a small-time cult leader seeking out vulnerable women to join his cause. From there, they follow this man’s trail down a rabbit hole of drugs, sex, murder and a cultural revolution. Little could they know, however, the guy they’re hunting will eventually become the killer we now recognize as Charles Manson (Gethin Anthony, “Game of Thrones”) — a lost soul who desperately wanted to get into the music scene of the ’60s until something snapped.
“Aquarius” will explore the cat-and-mouse game between Manson and the police in those turbulent years leading up to the Infamous Tate-LaBianca murders. [NBC]

I had a nice 2-hour nap while watching this snooze-fest. I should have continued to watch 500 Questions. No wonder NBC is ranked so low – their shows are the worst.

I thought it was going to be a TV movie not series. I thought it was OK but the whole cat and mouse think with Charles Manson after watching the 1st season is already old. I do hope if there is no chance of continuance at least wrap it up with the tate, la Bianca murders and trial and end it properly. The problem with the show is this Manson is made a superstar and second the racist and homophopic remarks nobody wants to relive that shut again. I would have thought NBC would have known better guess not. Dipshits.

I thought season one of Aquarius was great. When I happened to find it on demand, I was hooked until I watched every episode. Maybe it’s because I was a teenager when all this stuff was going on. I’ll never forget it.

I am really disappointed that there won’t be a season 2 of Aquarius. I really liked this show and the way it ended left me wanting more. For those of YOU who thought it was a snooze fest you must not of watched the full season, sorry you really missed out on what turned out to be a good show.

I absolutely love the series ! I read Helter Skelter in high school and I went and listened to Vincent Bugliosi. I hope NBC renews the series, if not; I hope HBO would pick it up. The actors are wonderful, the dialogue witty. It may seem slow, but each episode gets intriguing. What a tease/ disappointment if the show gets cancelled 🙁
