UPDATE: Clarifying her comments, Amy Schumer says Inside Amy Schumer isn’t cancelled after all. Season 5 is still apparently slated, albeit “not in the foreseeable future”.
Amy Schumer has announced the cancellation of Inside Amy Schumer after four seasons.
Despite being renewed for Season 5 in January (to premiere in 2017), Schumer claims “we aren’t making the show anymore.”
Following controversy regarding her relationship with writer-comedian Kurt Metzger, who she condemned over his comments about sexual assault, Schumer claimed “he isn’t a writer for the show because we aren’t making it anymore. There are no writers for it.”
I didn't fire Kurt. He isn't a writer for my show because we aren't making the show anymore. There are no writers for it.
