Per insiders, Inhumans is already canceled at ABC, but producer Scott Buck had planned for Seasons 2 and 3 of the Marvel superhero series.
Speaking to Collider, Buck said of the doomed drama’s overarching potential:
I think things will continue to expand. The big major story that we’ll tell, over the course of the season, will be complete by the end of the season, but also open us up to a whole other potential storyline. New things blossom, in a big way, by the end of the season.
On original plans for Season 2 of Inhumans:
We have ideas. We know our starting point for Season 2, but we don’t know if there will be a Season 2. Hopefully, there will be a Season 2. If so, we know where we’re gonna start, and we’ll very gratefully gear up and get to work.
Inhumans wont live to see a second season, and will get nowhere near a third, however Buck confirmed the existence of a three-year arc:
We generally know where the first three seasons could go. What’s fun about the show is that it will basically always be a show about family, so there’s always going to be places to take these characters.
Will you miss Inhumans? What are you thoughts on the show’s initial three-season plan? Will you watch the remaining episodes of the first and only season?
Jean Jackson says
I’m hoping there will be more seasons of Marvel’s Inhumans. Please do everything to continue this show.
