Showtime is plotting the way for Homeland Season 7.
The spy drama is officially renewed up to Season 6 (coming this fall), however, exec producer Chip Johannessen has inked a new deal that would take him through to Season 7, all being well.
Deadline reports:
Homeland executive producer Chip Johannessen has signed a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV and its cable division Fox 21 TV Studios, which produces the Showtime series. The new three-year agreement replaces the two-year overall pact Johannessen inked last year. Under that deal, Johannessen worked on Homeland‘s fifth season alongside exec producer/showrunner Alex Gansa for the first half of the season before segueing to development. He will now stay full-time on the show for the next two years.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of Homeland Season 7…
