Vikings will pillage on TV screens no more, at least not in it’s current form.
The History channel has cancelled its top series, Vikings, after a successful run of 6 seasons and a total of 89 episodes. The current backlog of season 5 and 6 episodes should run the scripted show through 2020. Season 5 still has 10 episodes left in its schedule which should run through Jan 30. Additionally, they have already finished production on the final season.
It’s not all bad news, the creator, Miachel Hirst, and the studio (MGM Television) are looking to potentially extend the show with a new spinoff series.
See you in valhalla.

The writers and director destroyed what might have been a salvagable season this year, and could have made it great.
The Floki stuff…really? Was that deliberate sabotage of the series?
The constant “…the gods” this and “the gods” that was mind numbing.
Ivar a cripple? What Viking would follow a mentally ill cripple? Besides, “the boneless” was mistranslated.
Good bye!
Next is that horrible show Knightfall. Who writes this formulaic crap?
I know the average IQ of America has gone down quite a bit in the last 40 years, but do they have to write for 6 year olds? Do 6 year olds watch Vikings/GOT and Knightfall? Look what GOT did for this juenra.
Bah! Good away already

So, you insult the IQ of Americans and then in the next sentence butcher the word “genre” by misspelling it “juenra.”
