Scripps Networks Interactive portfolio of channels joins Hulu’s new live TV streaming service
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hulu and Scripps Networks Interactive (Nasdaq:SNI) have completed a new distribution agreement that will see SNI’s U.S. networks included on Hulu’s new live TV streaming service.
The deal, which was announced by Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins at the company’s Upfront presentation in New York City today, gives Hulu both live and on-demand rights for Scripps Networks Interactive’s HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel at launch, as well as DIY Network, Cooking Channel and Great American Country. Hulu’s live TV streaming service launched in beta to the public today.
The Scripps Networks Interactive portfolio joins a growing list of popular channels from 21st Century Fox, The Walt Disney Company, NBCUniversal, CBS Corporation, Turner Networks and A+E Networks that will be offered at launch.
