NBC has cancelled Heroes Reborn after one revived season and five seasons in the franchise overall.
Due to low ratings, next week’s season finale will also be the series finale. NBC entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt confirmed the show’s demise:
“As far as I know there are no more incarnations of Heroes coming. [It was] always the plan to do just one season “unless [series creator] Tim [Kring] woke up one day and said, ‘Oh, I have another chapter to tell.’
I think we’re coming to the end… of the world, maybe. Stay tuned.”
RIP.

Kind of lackluster season anyway. All the fantastic characters from the original first two seasons are now gone. And… the holiday hiatus ALWAYS kills any momentum a dramatic series has. Why they schedule a first year show over the holidays, where it’s off the air for a month, astounds me. This just appears to be a Kring money-grab.

“Heros” should have never been “Reborn” anyway. NBC is not the CW (nor should it be, with only 1/10 to 1/5 the ratings #’s) . More quality Dramas and Sitcoms are still (mainly) the key to Broadcast Network success.

I owe an “e” for the word Heroes (not that the show deserves anything).
