March 6, 2015 – Showtime debuts the official trailer for Happyish.
January 12, 2015 – Showtime is happy-ish enough to order Happyish to series, with Steve Coogan replacing original star Philip Seymour Hoffman in the lead role. The network also announced an April 26 premiere date.
