The Goldbergs is safely renewed through Season 6 in 2019, but when will the series end?
Speaking to THR, series creator Adam F. Goldberg reveals his intention to take the ABC sitcom into Season 7, with no current plans to end the show:
The last episode is Adam’s high school graduation, which marks the end of his childhood. I’d love to go beyond season six, but it will always be set in the ’80s. We have yet to run out of any videos of mine, and there’s just so much from that decade I love.
While there is no end in mind for The Goldbergs, Goldberg is already looking beyond the show to a ’90s-set spinoff series:
And I don’t want to set it in the ’90s because I hope that one day that will be the spinoff of some sort [that is different than the one ABC passed on in May].
How many seasons do you think The Goldbergs should run? Has it already outstayed its welcome?
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of The Goldbergs Season 7…

RENEW the Goldbergs!! Such a fantastic show! Even if you’re not an 80s kid, it’s hilarious, great actors and fabulous writing. One of the best shows on TV.
