Syfy has cancelled Ghost Wars after one season. The supernatural drama will not resurrect for Season 2, RenewCancelTV can confirm.
About Ghost Wars:
Set in the remote Alaskan town of Port Moore as it is being overrun by paranormal forces, it centers on local outcast Roman Mercer, who must overcome the town’s prejudices and his own demons if he’s to harness his repressed psychic powers and save everyone from the mass haunting threatening to destroy them all.
RIP.

I’m not surprised. While the show was decent enough, it felt highly padded. The ending felt like, well, an ending. There was no reason to continue with the story.

SUCKS!!
SyFy has so few reasons to watch anymore. Futurama on all the time.
All the movies they show anymore have nothing to do with science fiction. James Bond movies all the time. What does that even have to do w/ science fiction.
They used have some really creepy stuff.
BRING BACK CHILLER CHANNEL PLEASE OR AT LEAST SOMETHING LIKE IT. Someone else needs to pick up GHOST WARS!

Ghost Wars has gone and to be honest it was always going to be a one season wonder. I actually think the concept had mileage and the quality of the acting and the strength of the characters would have carried another season or two, The ending had the feel of….. well, an ending. It felt like the last line of a novel or the jump scare twist that they used to have at the end of horror movies, not to pave the way for a sequel but to let you know the baddie had just moved on. Ghost Wars was refreshing if nothing else, it felt different to the current crop of high production value series that look good but feel the same. Studio’s and networks seem to have really lost touch with what the public want over the last few years! I can tell you what it is not, it really isn’t this succession of cheap to make reality tv shows or the boring uninspired and predictable, yet good looking garbage

Syfy is getting so bad. I loved Ghost Wars and just don’t understand why it was cancelled. Syfy-you made a mistake with this one.
