**SPOILER ALERT FOR HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER SEASON 3**
Who killed Wes? How To Get Away With Murder has yet to be renewed for Season 4, so could potential cancellation leave that mystery unanswered for all time?
Not according to showrunner Peter Nowalk, who confirms that the ABC drama will only leave fans “guessing until the end” of the current third season, per THR:
While the first half of the season saw one cast member revealed safe each week — or so people might’ve thought (such as that time it seemed like Wes wasn’t the one under the sheet) — things won’t necessarily be quite as obvious in the second half. “It’s not going to be as clean as, ‘You can rule out this person.’ I think it’s more that you’re going to start to get the full picture of the night,” Nowalk says. “I want to keep people guessing until the end.”
Of the unspooling of the mystery, he told TVGuide:
“We’ll be finding out each episode another piece of the puzzle what happened to Wes that day after he left the station,” creator and showrunner Peter Nowalk tells TVGuide.com. “That’s great because you’ll get to see Alfie a lot in each episode and we’ll just fill in the holes of what happened. It’s several hours. A lot can happen in that time. Maybe he died somewhere else and was brought [to the house]. Anything’s possible.”
While serialized shows are extra wary of cancellation, How To Get Away With Murder is likely to be renewed for a fourth season, allowing the plot to advance and a new mystery to come into play.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of How To Get Away With Murder Season 4…
