Game Of Thrones is ending in two seasons, but the producers are purposefully taking their time getting to the finish line, per RadioTimes:
Thrones star Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont (below) in the epic series, has told RadioTimes.com that the production team is spending as much time on the next batch of seven episodes as they would on ten to get them just right.
“They are taking the length of time it takes to shoot ten episodes to shoot just seven this year and six next year. There are fifteen more hours left in Thrones as we understand it, but that may change, but that’s as far as we know.
“I think the scale and size of the set pieces, the world that is being created it’s just getting more and more extraordinary and they feel they need that time to shoot seven hours as opposed to ten.”
Game Of Thrones is scheduled to end in 2018, with a sequel/spinoff series expected to takeover the crown in the subsequent years.
