About Friday Night Tykes TV Series
"Friday Night Tykes" returns to Texas, where football is life, to follow youth teams from the Texas Youth Football Association. Along the way, cheerleaders cheer, tailgaters barbecue and the crowd goes wild, but intense rivalries flare, parents and coaches clash and the young players face some very adult pressures and concerns, from extreme training drills to heckling from rabid fans. For many of those in the series, football is the centerpiece of their community and, in some cases, even a substitute family. Throughout, coaches and parents discuss the valuable lessons they believe football teaches children. But in a youth league where winning means everything, the adults also grapple with questions like: How much competition is too much? Is the sport safe for young children? And at what price are we pushing our kids to win?

The Real Slim K says
The suspicion at this late date for this inactivity is there must be some kind of post-production problem they never had before. Most likely, would be that for the first time, the team they followed the most, the Outlaws, finally lost, maybe even did something embarrassing or unethical and the team who won, the cameras did not follow very much. Maybe the Snoop league finally beat them, so the show’s producers are wondering if the original premise of this being the toughest kids’ football league, etc., is no longer accurate. I wish it does come back, but in recent years, the Coaches and parents have behaved worse and worse, so …I could live with cancelation.
The Real Slim K says
…and no, football haters and flag-football favoring wimps, I don’t think some kid died. Had that happened, you would have already heard about it–over and over and over again, by such anti-democratic would-be kid-football banners such as Bob Costas.
Frankie says
I have watched every episode like 8 times already
