Forged In Fire premiered June 22, 2015. New series Forged In Fire features world-class bladesmiths competing against each other to create some of the most iconic edged weapons from history.
In each episode, four of the best bladesmiths in the country will come together to put both their skills and reputations on the line. They will use traditional and state of the art tools and machinery to turn raw metal into authentic working versions of classical historic weapons.
Whether they are making a Japanese katana, a medieval broadsword, or an ancient throwing blade like the chakram, the weapons they forge will be fully functional, lethal and beautiful works of art and war. The final weapons themselves will be assessed and ruthlessly tested by our panel of expert judges.
These dynamic and explosive weapons tests will be individually designed to push the weapons to their limits in creative and historically authentic ways. [History]

I am not a blacksmith nor did I know anything regarding the craft but I agree with Thomas. I would love to see a season 2 ( purchased season 1 on ITunes and was hoping for more episodes). I found the show very interesting and learned something new in each episode. PLEEEEEASE bring it back!!

There are so many junk reality shows out there now but this was not one of them.
