Noah Wyle has admitted that he’s glad to see the back of Falling Skies.
The TNT alien invasion series wrapped its fifth and final season last summer.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Wyle made no bones about the fact that he’s happy the show ended, admitting that filming the series was a “slog”.
However, Wyle added that he’s proud Falling Skies escaped the Cancellation Reaper for five seasons to end on its ‘own terms’:
“I’m happy that it ended! And I’m happy that we got to write our own ending rather than just being cancelled in the off season.
It was a very difficult show to do and it would have felt incredibly unsatisfying for both the participants as well as the audience if we hadn’t had the chance to give some closure to that story and see these characters be successful.
“I’m proud that the show went to five seasons, I’m very proud of the character arc that I got the chance to play, and given some of the circumstances we worked in, it was miraculous that we were able to do it.”
Will you miss Falling Skies as much as Wyle clearly does?
