The Fall cancelled/ending after Season 3? Not according to creator Allan Cubitt, who confirms distant plans for a fourth season of the series killer drama without Jamie Dornan, per Digital Spy:
Series creator Allan Cubitt told us that there’s “probably been a little bit of confusion” surrounding the show’s future.
“I don’t think I’m giving much away in saying it’s Jamie’s last season,” he said, breaking hearts across the nation. “But that’s not to say that we wouldn’t do more of The Fall.”
As for when a Spector-less (but perhaps not spectre-less) Fall might air, Cubitt says not to expect Season 4 any time soon, leaving the show in cancellation limbo for now:
“I do have some thoughts [on The Fall Season 4]. But I’m quite keen on doing other things as well, so it’s not going to be straight away.”
Will The Fall wind up like the BBC’s Torchwood – placed in ‘limbo’ to seemingly never return, or could a fourth season actually materialize in years to come?
We’ll watch the cancellation graveyard for signs of The Fall Season 4 revival…
