Exec producer Jeremy Slater has bid farewell to The Exorcist after FOX decided not to extend the show’s order — however, he hasn’t publicly given up on a Season 2 renewal:
Final day of filming. This show has been my entire life–16 hours a day, seven days a week–for the last year. Saying goodbye sucks. pic.twitter.com/XjKQ2ytPXJ

“FOX, I’m really upset that you decide to Cancelled The Exorcist FOX . FOR NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE SEEING IT YET CAUSE THEY ARE WORKING OR MAYBE THEY ARE WATCHING IT ON AMAZON CAUSE THEY MISSED IT CAUSE THEY HAVE AN ILLNESS. MAYBE YOU SHOULD THINK ABOUT IT BEFORE MORE PEOPLE GET UPSET.”

Noooooo…this is a fantastic series. Great story line, actors. I’m so disappointed there is not a Season 2 :(. And I’ve just got people recently hooked on it too…

It is with relief that I discovered “The Exorcist” has been cancelled! Enough people already despise Catholic men of the cloth for the deeds of a few corrupt individuals. This series depicts the activities of a couple of irreverent and/or fornicating wannabe “exorcists” who couldn’t exorcise their way out of a wet paper bag. So glad it won’t be around any longer.
