Escaping Polygamy Cancelled Or Renewed?
Escaping Polygamy Season 3 Release Date
About Escaping Polygamy
Escaping Polygamy follows three sisters who have left polygamy and now help others break free from the often dangerous and abusive lifestyle.
As young girls, sisters Andrea, Jessica and Shanell bravely left the Kingston clan, a powerful polygamist group based in Salt Lake City, Utah known as The Order. Now, more than 10 years later, the sisters are dedicated to helping other men, women and children escape the polygamous sect in which they were born and raised, and ultimately manage new lives on the outside. In each one hour episode, the sisters work with friends and strangers alike who are in various stages of leaving polygamy - some just recognizing the need to leave, others actively seeking to breakout, and those struggling to adjust to the sometimes harsh realities of the real world.
This season is shaped by the significant impact that the sisters' work has had on destabilizing the leadership of The Order, including that of their own father, Daniel Kingston. The women embark on several dramatic and emotional rescues including a deeply personal escape when Jessica and Amanda help get their 18-year-old full sister, Jennifer, out of The Order, and out of Utah, before their father can find her and pull her back in. Other stories this season include a tenacious infiltration of the FLDS compound where a daughter of the notorious self-proclaimed prophet Warren Jeffs searches for her sister who has gone into hiding, an inside look at the high-stakes FBI raid on the Kingston clan that made national headlines earlier this year and the "mole" from season one, who has been secretly sharing information from inside the Kingston clan, faces a critical turning point -- is it too dangerous to stay inside, or too dangerous to leave?
With each story, viewers will see that escaping polygamy is an ongoing and often treacherous journey. Those who dare to renounce this way of life face challenging emotional obstacles long after they’ve physically left. Largely shunned by their communities, with their faith and family changed forever, there is often a strong temptation to return to the only world they have ever known. It is through the continued guidance and support of Andrea, Jessica and Shanell that these victims begin to create a new community and support system separate from the world they left behind.

Love the show I’m shocked they can get by with such horrible behavior. Hope the sister can keep doing what they are doing one person at a time.

Love this show PRAY THEY DO NOT CANCEL
One Who Knows says
The reason they can “get by with such horrible behavior” is because it isn’t real. Most of the show is staged. (I happen to be involved if you know what I mean.) The people who are “escaping” get paid $5,000 to pretend to “escape”. That’s why so many go back. They just do it for the money. When Priscilla was “escaping” her grandmother told her that if she wanted to leave, she could just go out the front door and that the family would even help her carry her stuff out. But the producers told her she would’nt get the money if she didn’t climb out the window and pretend to escape. Her family laughed at the nonsensical scene she created, which made her laugh. The Producers got so mad, they almost kicked her off the show. This is just one example of the nonsense. (Watch the “actors” or more rather, terrible actors, more closely and you will see little smirks and smiles from time to time. They know it isn’t real.) There’s no “escape” involved. Everytime this nonsense come up, all Kingstons are told if they want to go they can, and they are wished well. Nobody is keeping them. The Kingstons joke that their religion is the only one in the world that you actually have to pay people to try and get them to leave it. Sadly, some of the kids are foolish enough to take the money and a “moment of fame” just for that. AGain, that’s why so many of them go back afterwards. They don’t really want to leave. Life is really good for them all actually. Better than what the average person faces in the world, in terms of education, job opportunities, and yes, even living condition. (Shirley lives in a pic sty by choice. She’s just that way. People have tried to help her, but she won’t change. Notice how she complains about the new stuff she was offered? She stayed a long time, because she got paid more at WRE then any other job that “Escaping Polygamy” Could offer her.) Anyway, nuff said…

I love the show. I will be so disappointed if it’s not renewed for another season.
I have so much respect and admiration for Jessica, Andrea, and Shannell. They are so heroic and courageous in helping others escape Polygamy. Their involvement stirs up horrific memories of their own lives in the Order, yet they continue to selflessly help others.

I,too, applaud these brave girls. Their hearts are truly passion filled! It amazes me that in this day and age such atrocities are going on. I would love to help in any way that I can. In the meantime, they remain in my thoughts and prayers. I worry about Lizzie! What happened to her? Has she been sent off to the attic of sewing? Or worse? I know this has got to be emotionally hard on these sweet survivors. IF they are strong enough to endure, please let them know that I miss them and want to see them succeed in bringing the Kingtons down … I’d love to see the FLDS people turn their backs on that sicko Warren Jeffs! Brainwashing/mind control … way too powerful!!! Blessings to all.

I to would love the show to continue, I get a rush and so worried that they’ll be caught helping these people. Helping one person or family at a time keep up the good work.

I love this show, I truly hope it gets renewed and for more than just season 3. This show is very informative and shows the true side of polygamy. Also what all the members truly go through on a day to day basis. I think this show is very important to air.

I have reason to believe that Escaping Polygamy will return for a 3rd season. Good news; love this show. Love these girls.

I really admire the girls and the work that they are doing to get those who want to leave the Church. I have had my own problems with the Mormon Church which cost me my marriage after 19 years. The only problem that I see is that they escape the Church but have little support outside one they leave. My only criticism would be for the girls to start to build up of resources for them to tap into. The loneliness and abandonment issue will be less felt they cannot rely should not have to go to the Government. The type off support does not seem to be there. I am a retired Guidance Counsellor who have sent many students off to post secondary studies. I always made sure that the students knew of the resources available on campus and other students that they could get get in contact with.
Keep up the good work.

I so love this show! It is heart breaking and cruel, but loving and caring and compassionate at the same time. My heart aches for these poor girls and boys. To Jessica, Andrea, and Shanell, I hope you know how much impact you have on these people. You have so much kindness in your hearts. I sincerley hope the people you help know what you put on the line for them. Keep doing what your doing. It is making a difference! ☺️
