Discovery Channel has renewed Edge of Alaska for Season 3, to premiere October 23, 2016 at 10PM, THR confirms.
The third season “explores themes of good vs. evil and old vs. new, finds Darish over budget and behind schedule in his ambitious project to open the old Motherload copper mine to tourism, thanks to some impulsive decisions. As a result, a mysterious silent investor pays him a tense visit.”
In addition, “farmsteader Jeremy Keller, who came to McCarthy to raise his family off the grid, has always opposed Darish’s plans to profit and modernize. But now, with the threat of an outsider dangerously close to taking over McCarthy, Keller and his family will face what may be the biggest challenge of their lives.”
Stay tuned as we now monitor the cancel/renew status of Edge of Alaska Season 4…

What this guy wants to do is dangerous. I used to live out west in the gold country. All the time I would hear “stay out of old mines.”
As for developing this town, I now live in Florida & it’s been ruined by developers. No more aquifer, traffic backed up for miles etc.
