The reported cancellation of Days of Our Lives could be delayed by a season. Per Deadline, discussions are underway to salvage a Season 52 renewal, which would likely be the last in the series.
I hear the odds are about 60-40 at the moment in favor of renewal.
“We haven’t made decisions, but we like that show,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt told Deadline at TCA. “I think we will know more in couple of months. As they age, these shows diminish, there is a lot of delayed viewing and very little linear viewing anymore, you have to keep looking at that.”
Added NBC Entertainment president Jennifer Salke, “We hope that the show comes back.”
Can Days of Our Lives escape the cancellation graveyard, if only for another season? Stay tuned…

I have watched “Days of Our Lives” since I was 19 and I am 70 now. My children watch it and my grandchildren. At work it is the talk to keep us all updated. If it cancels it will be like a part of my life gone. Strange how we become attached. My vote is to keep it going in one form or another.

I watched this my whole life (I’m 53) this would be devastating. They already took away Another World years ago!
