Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 10 cancelled by hackers?
Hackers have released episodes of the upcoming Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 9 revival, damaging the value of the show and potentially thwarting its quest for a 10th season in 2018.
Per THR:
Hackers continue to pester HBO, releasing several unaired episodes of the highly anticipated return of Curb Your Enthusiasm on Sunday in their latest leak.
Season nine of Larry David’s comedy series is set to premiere in October after the show’s six-year hiatus.
The hackers, who broke into HBO’s computer network and have been doling out stolen information for the past several weeks, also released Sunday night’s episode of Insecure and what appear to be episodes of other lower-profile shows, including Ballers, the unaired shows Barry and The Deuce, a comedy special and other programming.
In a statement, HBO responded to the leak:
”We are not in communication with the hacker and we’re not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released. It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That’s a game we’re not going to participate in. Obviously, no company wants their proprietary information stolen and released on the internet. Transparency with our employees, partners, and the creative talent that works with us has been our focus throughout this incident and will remain our focus as we move forward. This incident has not deterred us from ensuring HBO continues to do what we do best.”
Curb has fought long and hard to return for Season 9 this October, but has it already lost the battle for Season 10? Stay tuned…
