Original cast member George Eads will leave CSI after 15 seasons, stoking speculation that the procedural will not be renewed for Season 16.
TVGuide reports:
George Eads, who has played the role of CSI Nick Stokes since the series’ pilot, will exit the show at the conclusion of the current season, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Sources say Eads’ departure was amicable and that his character’s exit will be connected to the resolution of the Gig Harbor Killer case. However, it remains unclear exactly how his character will be written out of the series.
CBS cut the show’s Season 15 order last month, adding to those cancellation fears. The network has yet to comment on the departure.
Watch this space as we watch the CBS cancellation trapdoor…
Cory says
It’s no wonder but it is surprising that it’s lasted this long after writing off all the good characters. We stopped watching after they wrote off Grissom and watched it again. Stupid ass producers, directors and writers always have to ruin shows that are fun to watch by getting rid of people who seem the naturally work together on screen. Then they think by putting crappy actors like Ted Danson on the show will up the ratings was a horrendous idea and mistake. Will they ever learn? I highly doubt it, they do it to all the shows. They also remake classic’s and ruin those too. STOP IT!
