CSI: CYBER CANCELLED OR RENEWED TIMELINE
May 11, 2015 – It’s now official! CBS has renewed CSI: Cyber for a second season to air during the 2015-16 season.
May 8, 2015 – CBS has reportedly renewed CSI: Cyber for a second season. CBS has yet to confirm or deny.
April 10, 2015 – CSI: Cyber will get to stake its claim for renewal when it airs an original episode on Tuesday, April 21 (in addition to its regular Wednesday airing). With the show currently ‘on the bubble’, the experiment will help inform CBS as to whether Cyber has a future.
March 23, 2015 – Encouraging news for CSI: Cyber on the time-shifted ratings front, with the series premiere adding almost 4 million viewers and a full 1.0 rating in the coveted adults 18-49 demo, after 7 days playback:
#CBSRatingNews: The series premiere of #CSICYBER adds nearly +4m viewers (+38%)and +1.0 rtg in A18-49 (+56%) http://t.co/JpBOZpcuUK
— CBS Tweet (@CBSTweet) March 23, 2015
March 5, 2014 – CSI: Cyber hacks solid ratings in its series premiere, with 1.8 in the key demo and 10.3 million viewers (preliminary), holding onto a good chunk of its Criminal Minds lead-in. Perhaps crucially, Cyber begins life above Stalker‘s average ratings to date (at this time, CBS has yet to schedule the final three episodes of Stalker).
Solid bow for #CSICyber: 10.3M viewers, 2.7 A25-54, 1.8 A18-49. Holds on to most of the Criminal Minds lead-in; up vs. Stalker average

March 3, 2015 – CSI Cyber’s premiere episode has leaked on piracy sites ahead of its official March 4 release.”The leaked footage comes from a high quality copy and doesn’t have any visible watermarks,” TorrentFreak reports. While pre-release leaks of upcoming series are not uncommon, CBS will hope the leak doesn’t negatively impact the show’s ratings (and hence chances of renewal). Of course, some will argue that this is all a promotional stunt from the network to garner extra buzz for the series. It can work both ways.
January 12, 2015 – CBS renews freshman series Madam Secretary, which leaves less room on the renewal rainbow for CSI: Cyber and the network’s other freshman shows.
October 22, 2014 – CSI: Cyber gets key French pick-up ahead of Season 2 decision.
October 14, 2014 – CSI: Cyber extends reach with international sales.
2014 – CBS orders CSI: Cyber, a spin-off of long-running procedural CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the fourth installment in the franchise.

csi: cyber is the most awful show i’ve ever seen in my life, much less on prime time television.. i’m a tech person, but i don’t hate the completely ridiculous plots and aspects of the show.. i think the idea of the episodes i’ve seen have been hitting their mark on where they should be going.. i do hate watching patricia arquette and her boss.. neither one of them could act if their lives depended on it based on what i’ve seen (all 4 episodes so far).. i think little bow-wow is painful to watch, although not quite as painful as the aforementioned.. i think the big guy is entertaining to a point, but not as a guns drawn fbi agent hot on the case.. their young hacker girl is too hard to feel confident about her being a girl so i personally don’t want to like her because i feel like it may be a trick ending with her revealing her true name to be jeffrey or adam.. jvd is okay, but truly toeing the line between okay and “i hope he dies soon..” pair all of that with the show ending / wrap up being more painful than bones in the sense that it goes from who knows what’s going on to case closed magically to pointless character building and it makes me sad that this is what the country i was born and raised in calls prime-time tv.. an example of what i’m talking about would be the end of the roller coaster crash episode.. everyone in the subway was running, panicking, and scared, yet agent ryan sees a guy sweating where nobody else is (why not??), walks up to him, & says “so nice to meet you”.. end of episode / relevance.. really?!?! please do humanity a favor and get this garbage off of everyone’s tv..

I cannot believe Cyber CSI (terrible show) is renewed and Stalker is cancelled. Put Stalker in a different time slot!

Bow_wow don’t deserve the wright to be on a show. How could he show that much disrespect to our President wife. Shame on you. I think to could be my bitch BITCH!!!
This show is HORRIBLE says
This is an abomination of Prime Time TV. Peter McNicol is wasted in this poorly written show.
Patricia Arquette can’t act at all, whatsoever. Her stiff, one-note persona is horrible. The stilted opening with Arquette’s grating voice is childish. The dialogue treats the audience as though their idiots.
The constant bickering between the two male tech goobers is a dumb, tiring, annoying, and distracting plot device, and feels every bit as contrived as it is.
Except for McNicol and Vanderbeek, nobody can act. Nobody is entertaining. This show doesn’t deserve to be on the air let alone renewed. It’s a four-finger gagger.
It will probably be renewed. I’ll be overjoyed to be proved wrong.

This IS the techie world. Patricia and the cast capture these characters perfectly. Spend some time with programmers and IT professionals and gain a perspective before you fire off criticism. I work daily with IT techs, I am a programmer, yes geeks are unique characters, brilliant but definitely outside of the bell-shaped-curve. That is what makes this show so entertaining.

You go CSIcyberfan
Swamp lady says
Patricia can’t act let alone watching the way she holds a gun.

I love this show and look forward to it each week. This is a show we can ALL relate to in the cyber world we live in. The story lines are scarily close real life experiences that could happen to any of us. I think twice now when I tie into free wifi..I have gained a new respect for the risks associated with our Internet focused life style. It is rare to find entertainment today that can capture an audience at such a personal level. The show is cast very well. My company develops software and the CSI Cyber cast captures the techie geek persona perfectly. As the show develops the viewer appreciates their talents and quirky ways. Love where the show is heading. Definitely do not cancel.
