ABC has cancelled low-rated comedy Cristelaafter one season. It joins Forever, Resurrection, Revenge and The Taste in the network’s 2014-15 cancellation graveyard.
Cristela is a very authentic comedy. Finally a real story that many Hispanics could relate to. You continue to have various comedies with African-Americans but not enough of a very large population: Hispanics! Cristela is also a witty, poignant, and intelligent storyteller. You people lost a wonderful talent. Forever is also a thinking persons supernatural mystery. I sincerely hope another appreciative network picks these two shows up to demonstrate what ABC let slip through their fingers.!
To amend my earlier comment, Hispanics are a very large and legitimate segment of the U.S. population, which should be common knowledge to the decision makers of ABC as well as other networks. Another fact is that we are a diverse group with roots coming from several parts of the world. Cristela’s show was actually very relatable to Hispanics due to the fact that it dealt with some of the traditional thoughts and feelings of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations of our culture as well as those whose families have been here since the conquistadores. Think about it.
I am very sad to hear you guys canceled this show! I am not hispanic at all, but I LOVED it! It was funny and well done! I fell in love with all the characters and really wanted to watch more of their lives. Very bummed. 🙁
It was a very funny show, but you have to give it more of a chance. More than just one season! Disappointed. I am a tv addict, but every year the same old song. New shows aren’t given a chance, so why get invested. Might as well start reading or watching old vhs of grizzly Adams or something!
This was one of the better shows on TV and you cancel it?! I am not Hispanic and I absolutely LOVED this show! Cristela is the Bomb! She’s awesome! So much talent on this show and you cancel it….UNBELIEVABLE! To all networks, do NOT beg us to watch a new show! You get us to watch the show, love the show and then Bam, no more show! Pathetic!
Cristela is such a funny show and deals with many issues with humor! We need more shows like this! Dealing with current situations with humor is the best way of dealing with them! Cristela is funny and entertaining! THE WHOLE CAST (especially Cristela herself) are hysterically funny and entertaining! I will never understand the decisions of the powers that be! They just don’t make any sense! BRING BACK CRISTELA! If none of the regular networks pick Cristela up, then please have NETFLIX air this absolutely brilliant show with an absolutely brilliant cast! CRISTELA – YOU ARE THE BEST! Love your stand up here at the Improv in Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale, FL!
We loved this show!! why not cancel Grinder or Grandfathered?? Both horrible comedy..if it doesn’t sell sex I guess you don’t think it is worth an audience. I loved Cristella and will miss it.
