New Season Of Counting On And Series Premiere Of Meet The Putmans
— Counting On Season Five and Meet the Putmans Premiere Back-to-Back Monday, September 4 —(Silver Spring, MD) – Monday nights are about to get larger than life, as two of TLC’s biggest families take over the small screen! Season 5 of COUNTING ON premieres Monday, September 11 at 9/8c, followed by the series premiere of MEET THE PUTMANS at 10/9c. Bigger is always better, though it can get complicated as both families struggle to manage their day-to-day lives while celebrating important life moments, from weddings to births and everything in between.
First, COUNTING ON jumps right back in where things left off last season. The wedding of Joy Anna and Austin is rapidly approaching and it’s all hands on deck to prepare for their special day. The young couple has many unchecked boxes on their to-do list, from picking the venue and the attire for the wedding party, to finding suitable décor and a wedding cake. While Joy Anna and the girls take a trip to Kentucky in search of the perfect wedding dress, Austin somehow finds the time to renovate a house that will hopefully become the couple’s dream home (after some serious work). Of course, all the drama and work gets put on-hold for a joint bachelor-bachelorette party, where everyone will reconnect with nature on a camping adventure!
Just as wedding preparations are in full swing, Jessa, Ben, Spurgeon and Henry travel to San Antonio, Texas to meet up with Jinger and Jeremy. The Vuolos can barely contain their excitement as they prepare to get to know little Henry. Viewers will see another Duggar courtship blossom between Joe and Kendra, culminating in a huge surprise during Joy Anna and Austin’s wedding reception that just may have bells ringing again sooner than everyone thinks! With all these huge milestones brewing, the siblings can always count on each other for support.
Then, TLC’s MEET THE PUTMANS returns for a full season following the captivating one-off special that premiered earlier this year. The Putmans invite viewers back into their home, where three generations live under one roof. Tight-knit isn’t a strong enough word to describe this supersized family, who share everything from one bank account to only two bathrooms. The Putman bunch includes Bill and Barb Putman at the head of the household, their four adult children and their spouses, and a total of fifteen grandchildren. Dull moments (and privacy) are certainly hard to find in the Putman household as they build their family dream home together and share their ups and downs and most intimate thoughts.
During this season, the family will joyously welcome the 26th member of the Putman clan from their only daughter Blair and her husband Jamie. They’ll also cope with the harsh reality of Papa Bill’s precarious health, and he’s not the only family member being forced to face fears. Kacie Putman, wife of middle son Brandon, has a family history that may force her to make some tough decisions about her future health. Through all the trials and tribulations, the Putmans choose to tackle every obstacle and celebrate each achievement together — their unique lifestyle is a way of redefining what it means to be an all-American family.
