Really joins forces with Nottinghamshire Police for new Cops UK: Bodycam Squad
Multi-award-winning broadcaster UKTV today announced the third and fourth series of Cops UK: Bodycam Squad for its free-to-air channel Really from Raw Cut Television.
For the first time, the series will be filmed with Nottinghamshire Police who are kitted out with the latest body-worn cameras to show a unique, first-hand perspective of crime-fighting. Each episode will illustrate what the police force encounters on a 24-hour basis to keep the public safe. The officers will also share frank, personal accounts about their experiences and how they are affected.
Arch Dyson, executive producer, UKTV said: “It is great to be working with Raw Cut for a further two series of Cops UK: Bodycam Squad and we are very excited about bringing the viewers a candid account of what policing is really like in society today.”
Nottinghamshire Police Assistant Chief Constable, Steve Cooper said:
This is an opportunity for us to show how seriously we take keeping people safe in Nottinghamshire. The programme will show how successful the introduction of body worn video has been and highlights the way it continues to benefit us and the public. We are looking forward to showing the tenacity and dedication that our officers display in their endeavours to support the public and bring offenders to justice.
Adam Collings, channel director, Really, said:
The first two series of Cops UK: Bodycam Squad were very successful and established themselves an extremely loyal fan base on Really. I am delighted to be able to provide fans with more episodes and offer an insight into the work undertaken by Nottinghamshire Police from a unique perspective.”
Steve Warr, managing director, Raw Cut:
This is a fantastic show to work on and the police body cameras allow the viewer to get a visceral feel of what it’s actually like to be out and about policing our streets.
