ABC’s Conviction is set to be found guilty by the cancellation reaper after a poor ratings start. TVLine reports:
Conviction premiered on Monday night to 5.4 million total viewers and a 1.0 demo rating, eroding more than 20 percent over the course of the hour and debuting below time slot predecessor Castle‘s most recent premiere (6.8 mil/1.2), series finale (7.7 mil/1.3) and final-season average (6.2 mil/1.1).
With Conviction cancelled already barring an upswing, Hayley Atwell could soon be available for that Agent Carter revival (which was cancelled for a reason).
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of Conviction Season 2…

That’s what they get for cancelling Castle. Money couldn’t have been all of it as some get way more money & aren’t as good. They should have saved iCastle any way possible that they could. no matter what it took.

The funny part here is that “Agent Carter” averaged 0.8 in it’s second season in the winter with bad episode scheduling. Conviction got a 0.9 in it’s premiere episode. If the network gave Agent Carter a third season with a better slot, better promotion and a SHIELD beginnings plot, it would have scored well over a 0.9,
