CBS CEO Les Moonves has expressed optimism about the renewal chances of the network’s five freshman entries — Code Black, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Life In Pieces, Limitless and Supergirl, per THR:
“We have five new shows on this year. Of those five, I believe all five of them will be renewed, and we own four of them.”
Deadline further reports:
CBS plans to renew all five of the TV shows it introduced in the current season, “and we own four of them,” CEO Les Moonves told the Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference this morning.
With few holes to fill in his schedule, he only ordered 17 pilots, less than usual, for this fall and only expects to pick up “no more than four or five…We don’t need that much.”
Of course, Jane Lynch comedy Angel From Hell has already bitten the cancellation dust.
As always, the proof will be the renewal pudding. Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the official status of all CBS TV shows…

What is wrong with CBS? Madame secretary still has the highest ratings Sunday night. Personally I do not care if it caters to the younger crowd as the older crowd is the one that is wAtches it.

Code Black is one of the only shows my husband and I can watch together without him falling asleep. He hasn’t fallen asleep once during our binge watching. I hope it doesn’t effect ratings when we DVR them and watch them back to back! So glad it has been renewed!

What about Criminal Minds? This is one of 3-4 I watch on CBS. The Good Wife is ending-unhappy! I sometimes watch Blue Bloods. I always watch Madam Sec. Of course I am in my 60’s.

Code Black – pleeeeeese come back. Such a great ensemble. And not the cheesy storylines of other hospital shows – it’s watchable !
