BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg has hinted at Season 4.
Quizzed by Indiewire, Bob-Waksberg updated on the progress of Season 3, confirming that it’s slated for a summer 2016 Netflix release:
We just finished writing the season. We had our last table read a couple weeks ago, right before Thanksgiving, which is great [because] now we know what the season is. But now we have to make it. We’ve been finishing up record[ings] and animating the first few. It’s really coming together, and I think we have some fun surprises and do a lot of fun stuff. We’ll basically be working up until we release it this summer.
He also said that, potential Christmas special aside, he and his writing staff will take a “little break” before getting back to work, presumably with a fourth season in mind:
We’ll deliver it to Netflix a few weeks or a month before it goes live and then we’ll get a little break, unless I decide to make another Christmas special, and in that case, I’ll work all through the summer
Netflix has yet to confirm a fourth season of BoJack at this early stage.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the status of BoJack Horseman Season 4…
