Is Blindspot preparing for the end? NBC has yet to confirm a third season of the mystery/crime drama, and with the specter of cancellation still looming, creator Martin Gero promises ‘huge mythology answers’ in the final episodes of Season 2, per TVGuide:
We’re still waiting to see what Sandstorm’s master “Phase 2” plan is. How much of Phase 2 will we see in these final episodes?
Gero: These final four episodes of the season really almost play out as one giant finale. These episodes are super huge and have pretty big twists. But yeah, Phase 2 will play out over these next four episodes. I’ve always said we make these seasons like they’re books in a series of novels you really like, so each season has a really great beginning, middle and end. And the end of this season is enormous, questions you’ve had since Episode 1 will be answered. Can you tease a few of those questions that will be answered?
Gero: Sure, like why the tattoos? What is Shepherd’s endgame? Why Kurt Weller? Huge, huge mythology questions will be answered.
Answers are seemingly coming, but the Blindspot Season 2 finale will also end on a cliffhanger with a view to a third season. Will Blindspot be cancelled or continued? Stay tuned…
