The Blacklist will resolve a big mystery well in advance of its anticipated fifth season, per EW:
Anything you can tease about the [midseason] cliffhanger that you’re going to leave audiences on?
BOKENKAMP: It’s different. It’s less of a cliffhanger. We’re going to get more answers in this coming episode. It’s less about a big “Who shot JR?” moment that leaves everybody with a big question and more about resolving it and pushing us forward in a new direction when we come back in January.
EISENDRATH: I think that Liz finally gets answers to the questions she’s been asking since the beginning of the show. That, to me, is what we are aiming for.
NBC has yet to officially confirm The Blacklist Season 5, but the crime/mystery drama is expected to continue its story into the 2017-18 season, barring a disaster.
Stay tuned as we continue to monitor the cancel/renew status of The Blacklist Season 5 and the upcoming spinoff, Redemption…

They better not cancel this show. They ruined it when they wrote in her pregnancy. Also having her marry the guy who lied to her through the first marriage. Now they have spent this entire season on the kid napping. Get back to the original format and the viewers will return

The Blacklist is the best TV Series I’ve ever seen. James Spader makes the Blacklist so entertaining. Please don’t cancel this show! I believe moving it to an earlier time slot would encourage more viewers.
I stay up that extra hour Thursday nights just to watch it.
