ITV has quietly cancelled Benidorm after 10 seasons, at least according to reports.
Per stories in the UK press, the broadcaster has apparently opted not to renew the comedy for Series 11:
“Benidorm has been a huge success for ITV for a decade, but bosses feel it’s run its course. The ratings have started to drop off and a number of the fan favourites have left, so it just feels as though the time is right to let it go out while it’s still on a high. It has been ITV’s longest running comedy, which is a real achievement.”
However, series creator Derren Litten has flatly denied the reports:
Apparently The Sun are running a story tomorrow on how Benidorm has been cancelled. Don’t make me fucking laugh. (I enjoyed that story after series 6. And 7 and 8 and 9…).

Publicly, ITV remains on the fence, with a spokesperson stating:
“We have not yet made a decision to cancel or renew Benidorm.”
Is Benidorm really cancelled or is there still hope for Series 11? How long will the show stay in limbo? You’ll find out here first…
