I can’t believe these network’s cancel all these amazing shows after 1 season, why not try to see the ratings after a second season, commonsense is most people will stop watching a show less during the first season because we the viewer’s can tell if a show can go on such as tv show crisis ,really how long can they hold the kids.I am very disappointed that Believe is not coming back it has a great and interesting plot, same as the Alcatraz show it had history and the plot was amazing same as Hunted.I could go on but the simple fact is you stupid networks don’t want to give shows that are great a second season they’d rather put more stupid reality shows on dumb crap over and over and god only knows who the idiots are that make up such shows (Reality)Keep your viewers from giving up on the great shows air them for a second season and see your rating’s after that keep pulling these great shows and soon you will lose viewers on your network period. NBC,ABC,CBS,FOX ETC….. Your all going to lose viewer’s to other networks out there who are willing to take a chance as well as put interesting shows on.Disappointed,Denise Marie Lunger

I totally agree with you Denise! Network channels ALWAYS cancel the best shows and keep the never ending slew of complete garbage reality tv. How many different types of singing/talent competition shows can there really be?? And let’s not forget the overplayed “let’s throw a bunch of strangers with gigantic conflicting personalities together and watch them jump in bed with each other and/or scream at each other.” I am SO tired of watching new shows every season, investing in the characters and following the plots only to end the season on a cliff hanger that never pays off because the show is cancelled! Believe and Crisis, The Event, Flash Forward, Dollhouse, Awake, Last Resort, Secret Circle, Terra Nova, Zero Hour, Alcatraz, The Cape…I can go on and on but I know you get what I’m saying. I prefer to watch shows on cable these days, they’re much better at keeping good shows on the air. Network tv needs to get their act together or no one is going to watch any of the crap they put on.

I totally agree with you. I absolutely LOVED that show Believe. I thought that there was a chance it could be on for quite a while. I have been looking all over for it. Sad that it was cancelled. It was a very good reason to get off of ABC sometimes. I too am tired of reality shows and talk shows. Sometimes you just want to escape into a good story that evolves week after week. I wish you would bring it back. I would definitely watch it.

Completely agree with Denise and Kristen!!! I am so sick of shows that are really good getting cancelled just to put on more stupid mindless reality bull crap! Sure I watched American Idol in it’s inception. And Dancing With The (sometimes not) Stars, but good grief, after umpteen seasons of the same old same old, puhleeeze!!!
Meanwhile really good freshman shows that deserve at least a 2nd season get cancelled! Let me just start naming some. I bet some will make you say, “hey, I remember that show, I liked that show!!” —- onto the list ……
Believe
Intelligence
Almost Human
The Tomorrow People
666 Park Avenue
Ringer
Alcatraz
Flash Forward
The Event
Surface
Invasion
Firefly
Those are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head that I would have continued to watch and enjoy.
I don’t care who dances better, sings better, does magic tricks, looks like the next big model, cooks food in a kitchen or who is sleeping with who!! I mean, come on people, use your brain cells!!! When I watch tv I want to laugh, be puzzled & intrigued and sometimes shockened and sad. I want to talk about it with my friends, family and coworkers and try to figure it out or just compare theories. I want to be sitting on the edge of my seat at the end of an episode anxiously awaiting the next installment!
It’s different when shows have run their course and need to end to be able to go out on a good note. Regardless or not if the ending satisfies everyone. I will not make a list of those, because there are many of them!! And yes, I am a Lostie and thoroughly enjoyed and understood the series finale 🙂
I know this post may not be seen by anyone as it’s dated, but I just had to put my two cents in because I’m anxiously awaiting news on a current show that has yet to be either cancelled or renewed by Fox …. Gang Related ….. which I highly praise and recommend it is a well casted, written and acted show that has me on the edge of my seat each and every episode!!
Namaste 🙂

Bring back Believe. It was an awesome show. Cancel the Bachelor, Big Brother all those other stupid reality shows that show do the same thing over and over.
Sandy says
I HATE the Bachelor series and NEVER watch it.

I agree, bring back Believe! I loved the show.

Loved this show! I agree with previous posts that state we are fed up with dancing, singing, and cooking shows. I want shows that actually have a good story line. I am also tired of being left hanging with my favorite shows when they are cancelled. Enough. I don’t even know who most of the people on Dancing are and honestly don’t care to. Stopped watching American Idol after season 3 due to boredom and the winner always being the one who will not do anything else. These are what I call “glimpse” shows. You glimpse them once in a while when their advertising catches your attention but you change the channel before the ending because it was all hype. Perhaps if some of these really great shows would have gotten the good run times and advertising they would have gotten more viewers as well. Just sayin’

Each year I become more and more afraid of watching any new shows…because then I’ll get attached and they’ll cancel it.
